The Challenge - BEE Events were selected to provide a complete event management solution, working alongside the client’s in-house team. The aim was to create a special environment for their employees by arranging a black-tie dinner dance incorporating an awards ceremony to celebrate excellence and success throughout the year.

Our Solution - The Royal Armouries in Leeds was selected as the venue. It was decided that a medieval winter wonderland theme, incorporating the purple from the client’s corporate branding, tied in nicely with the season and the venue.

Our team took care of everything; creative design, sourcing the perfect venue, project management, theming, lighting, entertainment, pre-event activities for the finalists, drinks reception and the main event. We also managed all the health and safety.
The finalists arrived one hour before the rest of the guests; Knights in Shining Armour greeted them on the red carpet. They were treated to an exclusive VIP drinks reception with the Executive Team in the Hall of Steel while being entertained by a juggling jester and a special private presentation.

The main guests were provided with their bespoke drinks’ wristbands and shown to the War Gallery where the main drinks reception was taking place. Entertainment was provided by strolling minstrels and their traditional medieval instruments. After the fanfare sounded for dinner, the guests started a procession as they followed the minstrels downstairs to the main room.

Guests entered a winter wonderland where a medieval re-enactment took place on the dance floor before the sumptuous three-course dinner. The snowball table centres complimented the rest of the decor and provided height throughout the room. With the help of the venue, we even created four bespoke cocktails, coloured and named after the client’s values.
A bespoke stage was created to host the awards, providing maximum visibility for the large crowd and we worked with our specialist production team to produce a themed finalists’ video. The awards were followed by entertainment from a DJ and 6 piece live band which kept everyone dancing until the early hours.

The whole event was also being professionally photographed to provide them with footage to share in-house forming part of their employee engagement and employer proposition plans. Photo opportunities were also provided in each corner of the room with a themed Photo Booth and Wooden Medieval Stocks.

The Results - BEE Events delivered an on-budget event that wowed guests and exceeded the client’s expectations.

The Results - The client received excellent feedback from employees who felt truly appreciated and grateful for their free family day out.

Guests took to social media which had a direct impact on recruitment with candidates mentioning the event at interview.

The client reported a buzz in the office for many weeks following the event and attributed increased attendance at their subsequent Awards Ball to the success of this event.
The Challenge - BEE Events were selected to create a unique annual conference for the client’s senior management team. BEE Events worked closely with the bride, groom and their family to ensure that every last detail was taken care of. Various handmade and personal touches were suggested and weaved into the day.
